Heavy Stones Restoration Unit
At the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), we possess the tools and expertise necessary to handle the most imposing artifacts. Our Heavy Stones Restoration Unit boasts state-of-the-art equipment designed to lift and restore colossal stones weighing in excess of 120 kg. This unit is dedicated to the meticulous restoration of large, disassembled artifact components, enabling in-depth studies and the revival of monumental heritage.
Mummies Restoration
Within this specialized unit, the art of mummy preservation is elevated to a science. Our Mummies Preservation Unit is equipped with 36 nitrogen nurseries, ensuring the meticulous preservation of mummies. It also features advanced devices for monitoring temperature, humidity, and light intensity, all essential for the sustained protection of these ancient remains. Additionally, the unit provides secure storage for wooden coffins, which are an integral part of Egypt’s rich funerary tradition.
Icons and Oil Paintings Restoration Unit
